Facade Geeks from around the globe will be congregating the week of March 23 in Los Angeles, the epicenter of all things building skin. Anchored by the FTI World Congress and Expo conducted on Wednesday and Thursday March 25-26, the week’s educational activities and networking festivities will include lectures, workshops—city, building, factory and design studio tours—luncheons, cocktail receptions and more.

It will be Facades U central; the place to build up your AIA and LEED CE credits.

It’s Face Time in LA, time to meet up with old friends, establish new contacts and mingle with industry and academic leaders from the world over and from all sectors of the building marketplace: owners/developers, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, facilities management, preservationists, manufacturers, product and materials suppliers, all from the many market segments having a strategic interest in the pervasive influence of the building skin. It is going to be an epic week in Los Angeles and in the history of the built environment.

We need transformative change in the built environment, we need leadership to drive this change, we can disrupt or be disrupted so let’s lead the way; that’s what Facades Week: LA! is all about.

Lean in! Join us! This is the time and the place for those organizations and individuals that have been looking for the opportunity to make a difference, to catalyze the step-change that is required in the arts, sciences and technologies of the built environment to move contemporary society into a resilient and sustainable future. Everything will be on the table in LA, from lofty visionary ideals to the finest grained nuts and bolts, we intend to leave nothing out. Come and add your voice, your perspective, your actions and initiatives to the architectural groundswell that leverages both performance and aesthetics through the facade system, the singular integrative force in architecture and urban habitat.
